School, team and activity emails bury the dates that matter: field trips, games and practices, tournaments, recitals, camps, forms due, no-school days. SchoolCal is a Telegram bot that finds them and hands them back as an .ics file and one-tap Google Calendar buttons.
How to use it: open the email in Gmail or your mail app, copy the text, and paste it into the chat as a normal message. No forwarding needed. First message: send your city (like Charlotte) so times land correctly.
What it does
- Finds dates, times and places in school, sports and activity emails: field trips, games, practices, tournaments, recitals, camps, clubs, lessons, forms due, closures
- Weekly schedules like “practices Tue/Thu 5:30-7” become repeating calendar events (with an end date when the email gives one)
- Replies with a list to check, an .ics file for Apple / Google / Outlook Calendar, and one-tap Google Calendar buttons
- Never saves your emails. No account beyond Telegram
Pricing
Free: 5 emails every 30 days (only emails where dates are found count), with calendar export included. Nothing from your emails is stored.
SchoolCal Plus, $3/month:

- Reminders in Telegram: deadlines at 9 AM the day before, timed events 1 hour before, all-day events and no-school days at 6 PM the evening before
- A Sunday “week ahead” message around 6 PM with everything coming up

Get Plus on Gumroad, then send /activate YOUR-KEY to the bot. You can cancel any time on Gumroad. For reminders, Plus saves each event’s title, date, time and place (never the email) and deletes it 7 days after the event; see the privacy policy.
